Welcome to the fundraising page of Matthew Zimmerman!

I'm taking my clothes off again for a cause! (Funny, as a little kid I ran around the woods naked all the time, but no one sponsored me then??!!?)

Yep, it's time again for the annual Broadway Bares show and STRIP-A-THON (the latter for which I have created this page). I had a blast participating in both last year, and am performing again this year. Rehearsing for and dancing in Broadway Bares 17 was one of the best times I've had in my life, personally and as a performer! So great and exciting! I was so proud to have been a part of it. I can't say enough!!!

Now, there is some confusion as to what the STRIP-A-THON is, exactly. It is NOT, as the name would suggest, a stripping contest or an actual "event". It is simply our version of an ongoing online "telethon", appropriately named for the baring of bodies that will happen in the shows' dance pieces.

$743,787 in total was raised last year through Broadway Bares. All money raised benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Your money goes to supporting those men, women and children who are struggling with AIDS/HIV. Organizations across the nation receive support through your generosity.

There's another way you can support the cause. Buy a ticket to see the show!! Last year's show, titled MYTH-BEHAVIOR, was received with rave reviews and applause. This year's title is WONDERLAND, based upon Alice in Wonderland. I will be dancing in the Tweedle Dee/ Tweedle Dum number with a bunch of other guys. Are you curiouser? The details are as follows:

Broadway Bares 18: WONDERLAND
Sunday, June 22
9:30pm & 12 midnight (2 performances)
Roseland Ballroom, 239 West 52nd Street
New York City
$55 general admission

If you come (and I hope that you do), be sure to bring money to stuff into the underwear of us performers at the part at the end of show called the Rotation. $32,501 was raised last year during the Rotations of both shows!

THANK YOU in advance for anything you can give. I know these are hard times!!!

Love, Matthew
