6 pm VIP reception, 7:30 pm performance

New York City Center

131 West 55th Street, NYC

Each year Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater generously dedicates one night of its New York City Center season (December 1- 30) to benefit Dancers Responding to AIDS. Join us Sunday, December 11, when a portion of all ticket sales benefit Dancers Responding to AIDS.

The spectacular new program features:

  • the world premiere of Untitled America, a haunting work that MacArthur Fellow Kyle Abraham developed and completed over the last two years, shining a light on the impact of the prison system on African-American families

  • Mauro Bigonzetti’s world premiere Deep, an elegant and soulful melding of European, American and African cultures set to songs by Ibeyi, twin sisters who are rising global music stars

  • the company premiere of Walking Mad, Johan Inger’s daring contemporary take on Ravel’s Bolero.
